Short Outline
This Study intends to establish a building greening plan to reflect the local government-specific regional characteristics at the time when a long-term urban improvement project and a systematic method to secure urban green space are required.
Abstract
The high pavement rate, the destruction of green area and the increased energy use in urban area have strengthened the concern with regard to urban flood, urban heat island phenomenon and the global warming.
This Study purposed to establish a building-greening promotion plan to reflect the local government-specific regional characteristics at the time when a long-term urban improvement project and a systematic method to secure urban green space are required.
It tried to propose a process to select the optimal place to apply the building-greening through analyzing synthetically various factors including building-greening effect, local characteristics and greening necessity by local governments in the building-greening master plan, or a region-specific greening master plan, and present a policy goal and direction through establishing the basic plan. The basic plan process for building-greening begins with the review on the related top plans and regulations. Next, the humanities and social environment, including population density, floor area ratio and land by purpose, and the natural environment, including green land and climate, are investigated and the related information is wrote out. In the next step, a general type map is drawn up targeting at the 6 goals for building-greening including the urban flood reduction, the urban heat-island phenomenon reduction, the air pollution reduction, the energy saving, the green space supply and the urban landscape improvement. Based on those 6 sectors are identified the type-specific key green area, regional green area and greening management areas and then a preferred target for general building-greening is selected.
The master plan for building-greening established in this Study will be used for securing not only the information map with regard to local government-specific urban heat-island and urban flood but also the scientific evidence for setting the promotion direction of related policies in future.
