Urban agriculture is a modern agricultural production mode which is compatible with industrialization and urbanization. Urban agriculture has been gradually integrated into the overall planning of urban and rural areas.
Abstract
Urban agriculture is a modern agricultural production mode which is compatible with industrialization and urbanization. The survival and development of urban agriculture, on the one hand, depends on its own comprehensive competitiveness; on the other hand, depends on what the governments at all levels do in the process of urbanizational acceleration. Based on Urban economic theory, multifunctionnality of agriculture theory and so on, this paper using the panel data of 16 cities from 2000 to 2008 in China, analyzes the basic situation of urban agricultural development, and further puts forward urban agricultural development which is based on the urban and rural unified planning.
