Short Outline
The paper explores environmental pressures of industrial urban during rapid urbanization and Tianjin’s ecological liveable transformation. The ways proposed include an optimization plan of the urban landscape and industrial land, and the continuous habitat plan.
Abstract
Tianjin is birthplace of one of China's modern industry, is currently in post-industrial stage. The urban is experiencing a transition period from a traditional industrial urban to ecological livable urban. Tianjin is economic center of the Bohai-rim region as China's economic growth pole. In recent years, with the rapid development of urbanization, ecological carrying capacity has undergone pressure caused by the urban development needs. The total urban ecological land is showing a decreasing trend. The fragmentation degree of ecological landscape is increasing. The urban heat island effect is becoming more serious. In order to improve the above phenomenon, this paper proposes three measures.

First, the urban landscape of optimization planning is the ecological security pattern. It is intended to advance the urban ecological land total, designate urban growth boundary, identify the ecological nodes of urban center and suburban, and clear of specific objectives of landscape ecological optimization. The role is to alleviate human disturbance on ecological land affect as well as coordinate the conflict between protection and development.

Second, industrial land is to optimize the layout plan. It is intended to construct industrial agglomeration areas, and recover ecologically industrial waste land. The roles are to improve land use and infrastructure building waste caused by the industrial land in loose condition, recover the ecological functions of large industrial wasteland with affect on the ecological landscape of the city in the core areas of urban ecology and landscape sensitive areas or the forward of urban.

Third, habitat planning is continuous design. It is intended to protect and plan large natural patches and corridors, use reasonable habitat rehabilitation, scale up patches, enrich the type of landscape. The roles are to mitigate the aggravated degree of urban landscape fragmentation by the development of road network, improve quality of habitat, and conserve biological diversity.
